Gogo and the Kittens !
I've noticed i haven't updated about the stray cat and her little family . well ...there has been a sort of separation / reunion drama going on lately . Here is the full story :
Mom discovered that the baby kittens were hiding in her kitchen and that made her super mad . But she managed to take in the madness until they get a little bit older and independent . The days passed by and Mom seemed to forget about how mad she was and started to show some acceptance under one condition , that is : we should be very careful not to let those naughty kittens into the kitchen .
So we had to make sure we lock the kitchen door after we are done using it . But how hard we tried not to forget doing that we would eventually forget and they would get in , playing and jumping all around , and when we would try to catch them , they would slip in and hide under the oven , table or fridge .
I haven't seen such naughty and difficult to handle little kittens in a very long time !
So Mom had it with them when one day she spotted them hiding under one of the tables , that she swore she would kick them out of the house at the nearest chance , and she didn't look like she was joking , and there she keeps her word , and when i wake up next day i find out that they have simply vanished ! . I didn't ask how Mom did it , or where did she send them , i didn't try to think much about it because that would have made me feel really sad . So i just accepted the fact that they never existed and i have never set an eye on them .
That seemed to work for me , but not for Gogo - my adult cat - who seems to have adjusted himself with the idea that this was his little family and he was responsible for taking care of them . I spotted him many times romancing the mother , and playing with the kids . The poor thing finally found company and he was so happy about it . so now you can imagine how he must have felt when one day he wakes up to find that he was all alone ...again !
For the past week , he has been heartbroken . Otherwise how would you explain his constant terrible howling as if he was some wounded wolf . It was really sad to hear him and see him that way . My idea of comforting him was letting him into the living room ( a restricted area . Mom's rule no. 1 ) , where he would room the whole room , still mewing in that terrible heart breaking way , till eventually he gives up , slips into my lap sleeps or casts a sad look all over the room ) . My little poor Gogo !
But then Today there was this happy surprise . The kittens were Back !
My brother saw them rooming aimlessly round the neighbrood and brought them in . You can't imagine my relief when i saw them again ! , at first i thought i was dreaming . They are Back ! , OMG ! , couldn't believe it !
One of them has put on some extra weight , which made him look a little bigger than his twin who was still so skinny . They sounded very hungry and thirsty , the first thing they did upon entering the house was rushing for the food bowl , wolfing down whatever food was there , and licking the water so hastily as if they feared it would be snatched away from them . Awww ! , it was so heart-warming to see them back again ...together .
Gogo didn't seem to believe it either , he kept sniffing them while looking so puzzled . LOL ! , my little Gogo !
When did he become so fatherly ?
